Solid timber is a living, responsive natural organism. It does not stop exchanging moisture with its environment once shaped into an executive table or console.
Understanding how natural hardwax oil functions is key to enjoying your ATELIER piece for a lifetime. Unlike heavy polyurethane plastic lacquers that sit like a glassy shell on top of the wood—and chip irreversibly when bumped—hardwax oils penetrate the cellular pores.
This means micro-scratches from everyday dining can be easily nourished with a drop of organic wax and soft flannel, seamlessly blending back into the grain. As the years progress, UV exposure subtly warms the chocolate undertones of walnut, creating a golden, amber depth unique to genuine heirlooms.
